Conditions of Hall Hire

CONDITIONS OF HIRE
1. The hire fee must be paid at least 5 days in advance.
2. In exchange for this payment you will be allowed to use the property floor space, toilets,
    kitchen, and normal property furnishings during the period when the hire agreement applies.
3. You must keep the property clean and tidy, and in good repair and condition, and leave it that
    way at the end of each time of hiring.
4. You must cover and reimburse the Scouts for any loss or damage which is incurred as a result
    of you using the property, including by anyone connected with you, or anyone who attends
    the property as a result of your use of it.
5. You must not allow anything to be done which might be a nuisance to, or damage the property
    of the Scouts, or the owners or occupiers of any other property in the neighbourhood, or which
    might adversely affect the insurance of the property.
6. To have alcohol on the property, then you must first obtain the approval of the Scouts in writing
    and if necessary the relevant the local Council. You must also get any Liquor Licence permits
    that are necessary.
7. You must not interfere with or remove any of the Scouts’ equipment or property.
8. You must allow the Scouts enter the property at reasonable times, to check on what you are
    doing.
9. When you leave, you must take all rubbish with you, and clean everything used by you, and
    return everything to where you found it.
10. You must not permit anything to be done, which the Scouts advise be a breach of the
    agreement between the Scouts and the owner of the property (if applicable).
11. If the property is to be used for dancing, then you must prepare floor appropriately.
     Before doing this, you must obtain approval from the Scouts.
12. The Scouts may designate a particular part of the property as the only part you are entitled
      to use.
         12.1. The fire pit is off limits, approval must be sought in writing as to what it will be used
                  for. Group has the right to reject any fire that is not deemed suitable. Only upon
                  written consent from the Group can a fire be permitted. Own wood must be supplied.
         12.2 The main den is only available for hire at present.
         12.3 The Main grounds are available for use, expect for 12.1
         12.4 The property must be accessible for returning Scouts form Camps and activities.
                 Notice will be provided if this is to occur. Will only be accessing the Shed.
         12.5 The main grounds are not for car parking - allocated car park or street parking
                 along Harburg Drive is permitted. Please do not block in residents or make
                 Tallagandra Crt inaccessible.
         12.6 The roof cavity of the main den is off limits.

13. If either party cancels this Hire Agreement by giving at least 48 hours written notice then the
      hire fee may be refunded. If notice is received from the hirer less than 48 hours from date of
      hire and no alternative arrangements can be agreed upon, Scouts will retain all monies paid.
      If Scouts cancel this hire agreement less than 48 hours from the date of hire and no
      alternative arrangements can be agreed upon, all monies paid to Scouts under this hire
      agreement will be refunded.
14. If either party cancels this Hire Agreement the party cancelling the agreement must take the
      necessary steps to ensure the other party is formally acknowledged of the cancellation of
      this Hire Agreement.
15. Scouts do not cover your activity with its public liability policy.
16. You must satisfy Scouts that you have obtained your own Public Liability Insurance to cover
       your hire of the property for the full hire term. If you already have Public Liability Insurance,
       Scouts requires a Certificate of Currency from your Insurance Company before you may
       use the Property. The group has the right to waiver this in light of difficulty in smaller parties
       having issues in obtaining insurance. The bond may be increased to cover any out of pocket,
       if deemed to high risk.
17. The Hall hire can be terminated at any time if complaints in relation to poor behaviour or
      excessive noise.
18. The Bond will be refunded within five (5) days after inspection and key return.
19: The Bond can only be refunded  via direct deposit or group cheque due to Group Rule sand Regulations
       in relations to payments.
20. Logan City Council and Scouts QLD have the right to over rule the hall hire once agreements
      have been submitted.
21. The Agreement is final and any breach of the conditions will be deemed a break resulting in    
      forfeiture of the Bond.
22. Any formal complaint received in writing by neighbours will be deemed a break resulting in    
      forfeiture of the Bond, regardless of if a formal complaint has been lodged with Logan City
      Council or Scouts QLD.
23: Under no circumstance will a party for 18 - 40 years be considered due to previous violations.
24: The hall hire hours are non-negotiable and are set as:
              + Weekdays 6am until 5pm
              + Saturday 6am to 8pm
              + Sunday: 6am to 6pm

25: In the event hire is still going post the end times, as noted in point 23, the agreement will revert
      to the hourly hall hire rate - uncapped - until premises vacated and returned to normal
      operations.
26: The person inspecting the property on behalf of the Group will remain at the premises until the
      key is handed over.
27: Any overtime charges will be invoiced and payment due within 10 working days of issue.
